Questions and Answers: Bonding
Question: How do I know for certain if dental bonding is right for my needs?
Answer: All you have to do is schedule a cosmetic consultation with us. When you come in for your appointment, we can talk about what you want to see with your smile, look at your teeth, and let you know whether bonding is a great fit (or if we have an even better idea).
Question: Is bonding going to feel comfortable or do I need a local anesthetic?
Answer: Dental bonding is prized in part due to its complete comfort. You will receive layers of composite over the target site. Once we refine the shape of the composite, we set it and then buff it until it shines. This is all quite simple and comfortable.
Question: How do I know if I need dental bonding or contouring?
Answer: If you look at your smile and wish you could just add a little more tissue in certain places for esthetic improvement, then you need bonding. If you wish you could take a little bit of tissue away, then you need contouring.
